Largely viewed as a specialized area of construcƟon with personnel involved to have a deep understanding of the marine environment, water condiƟons, ocean currents through seasons, this aspect of engineering presents varied challenges and constraints to build and develop islands and structures. Reclaiming islands involves a lot of planning and knowledge of ocean behaviour, Ɵde paƩerns and methods of dredging and reclamaƟon through GPS monitoring, and protecƟon of the reclaimed areas.
